Over the Counter Meds, Paranoia & untapped energy.

I'm sure I've mentioned on more than one occassion - medicine/drugs are not my friend. Especially decongestants. Well, with stuffed or blocked everything I just plain can't function without a decongestant. So I chose the one that does me the least amount of damage.

SURPRISE. I'm slightly paranoid. I said it, I also have boundless amounts of energy, am talking about 90 miles a minute. Unfortunately I have no one to talk to so its all in my head. I'm not sure that's a good thing, but I can't help it. I've decided to use it to clean. I don't think I've ever accomplished so much that didn't need to be done or doesn't show. Cleaned out and organized the pantry. I somehow managed to empty the dishwasher while my eggs were in the pan and I didn't burn them - SEE?!?! Laundry, car, paperwork, trash. I would deserve a reward if I was not sick, but sick, I deserve the Congressional Medal of Cleaning and if there is not one, they should make one, just for me.

Dear President Obama: The unemployed or SAHM of the world need a special award for their tireless work and no salary.....

AAAAAAAAHHHHH! The linen closet is calling.

The things we do for our children

What in the holy hell did I get myself into today? My children share a room. Its all due to a mistake my husband and I made while house hunting, but that is a whole different story.

Anyway, my kids share a room. I am constantly changing that room because they are never happy. E has issues - he's like his momma - he worries about everything. Its too dark, something is going to come in the window, what if the cat is cold. H2 on the other hand is Mr. Hugs and Kisses, and really doesn't worry about anything (he gets that from The Husband). They have been bugging me for a month to move their room again. This time they wanted their beds together. So I started moving the bedroom today. 1st lets just talk the laundry involved in this. We all know Dijea doesn't like to do laundry. So this already threw the day in a tizzy. The new sheet, the new mattress pad the old sheets & blankets etc. I moved the dresser/desk & toy bin out so I could clean everything. I did the floors, baseboards, washed the curtains. I went to Home Depot got some zip ties and tied the twin beds together.

They loved it. 10 minutes after I turned off the lights they decided the bed was uncomfortable.

EXCUSE ME! ITS THE SAME STINKING BEDS, just tied together with plastic zip ties that cops tie up drunk people. How can they not be the same amount of comfortable that they were yesterday? I am still cleaning up the crap that didn't go back in their room and they are already wanting me to change it again.

It was a terrible no good very bad day, and I'm moving to Australia.

Day 3: A fabulous morning walk & laundry.

This was my view this morning. My path. I spent an hour an 20 minutes, walked 5 miles and it was refreshing. I should be able to do this every morning. What a beautiful day!

Now back to laundry.

I have survived this weekend - so far.

Well, I have so far survived the over-scheduled weekend.  We had a sleepover on Friday night as E turned 8.  I can't believe I have an 8 year old.  Saturday we had pictures for E's basketball team - although I took the pictures.  I am not a portrait photographer.  NOT AT ALL.  Candid party shots - yes.  I rock at nature.  Taking pictures of squirming 8 year olds is not an easy task.  So I feel I failed at that.

H2 had a birthday party Saturday afternoon.  Survived.  And then The Husband and I had a couples baby shower Saturday night.  I took some fun candid shots of that.  In fact I took almost a hundred.  Scary!  I came home from the shower to find H2 snoring like 90 year old man.  He tends to get colds and suffers from allergies.  We are now fighting the snots with vitamin C, steamy showers, ENTSOL and whatever else I can come up with.  Nose spray before bed tonight that's for sure.  He also gets to watch movies all day - to keep him quiet and let me tell you he is not complaining.  It also got me out of the Sunday birthday party for one of E's classmates.  Daddy has that duty.

I went to the grocery store quite quickly today, but got lots of fruits, some OJ and lunch supplies for the week.  Oh, and fresh sausages from Central Market.  Are you ready?  Bacon & Onion pork sausages.  MMMM.  I hope the doctor doesn't check my cholesterol on Tuesday.  I have an appointment because well, my back hurts.  After nothing being found on an MRI I had Thursday (thank you Husband),  I am going to my GP to see if he can figure out why my back is killing me.  Its been bothering me for about 3 months now.  It was just an annoyance until about 3 weeks ago, now sitting is excruciating and when I first get up and start moving.  It feels better once I get going but as soon as I sit or just stand still. UGH!   I can only lay flat on my back too.  Not exactly my favorite, but I'll survive.  Wish me luck - and a diagnosis.  Not some crappy "guess" a serious diagnosis and a fix.  Not meds - we all know I don't do good with pills (except Xanax).

Off to do laundry so we have clean underwear & socks.  Oh, and I'm down 4 lbs since January 1st.  YEA!

Girls Night, Sleepovers and No Breakfast

Girls Night - scratch that Mom's Night Out was last night.  Had a ball as usual.  I left The Husband home with the oldest and two of his friends - heh!heh!heh!  and went out for margaritas with the girls.  I am a devious monster, but that's why everyone loves me.

I came home to three boys still up -  did you expect anything else?  My husband playing Rock Band and me with 4 loads of laundry to fold and clear off the bed before I could crawl my little body into it.

I wake up with nothing for breakfast, 1. because I didn't make it to the grocery store before heading home last night (Central Market was already closed) and 2. because when my husband went to go get donuts for the boys, he didn't get enough for me.  I'm not sure if that was to save me from my ever expanding backside, or he just didn't think.  Either way I half hate him and half worship him for doing it.  I now have - whoo hoo - more laundry.  Sheets and stuff.  Love me some sleepovers.  Groceries to get.  Whoo-hoo - love me some shopping.  And probably something else, I just haven't had enough coffee to figure it out yet.

I'm feeling a lot of stuff in my brain today - so I could be back if after 2 more hours of 7 year olds I have anything creative left in me to say.

No, I won't come to your house.

I'm nuts,  crazy, a little insane even.  I have cleaned my whole house today.  THE WHOLE HOUSE.  I cleaned the kitchen - including sweeping and mopping the floors.  Both bathrooms (yes I even wiped the underside of the toilet lid).  I swept every inch of the hardwoods.  I vacuumed the rugs (and the baseboards).   All beds are made, all dishes are clean except the ones in the dishwasher  (its not full) and the glass I am currently drinking out of.  All laundry is washed, folded and put away, except the load currently in the dryer.  Oh, I even dusted the ceiling fans.

Note to Husband:

MAYBE AS A REWARD, I NEED A NIKON D300.  Right?  Come on honey, I know you want to get it for me.  Don't cha?  (Mason, I am smiling really big right now, that cannot be relayed in my writing.)

I know this might ruin it, but I haven't cleaned of the desk.  LOVE YA!

Scary Laundry Day.

I have been out of town for 5 days, I then come home to 2 grueling days at work. Monday starts, one car in the shop, my husband takes my car to work so I'm stranded with two children. Scary thought? Try the experience!

Anyway I made it a game to collect dirty clothes and towels so I could begin work on the laundry. I'm in laundry hell! One load of blacks, one of green, one blue, a red one, the bra and light colored delicates, the delicate dark sweaters, one bleach load, a special mixed load, a comforter, one large one of manly clothes and two, count them two loads of towels. That makes 12 - this doesn't include bed linens. There are only 4 of us - where does it come from? And I feel like I never have anything to wear. Now I will say this, the boys are very well outfitted, especially the younger one as he gets the additional hand-me-downs, but seriously 12 loads.

Now on top of this I lost one of my favorite candles in the gathering of the laundry, apparently a towel was placed on top of it and it got pulled down by Mr. Hunter when he was bringing it to "the pile" and it scared him so much a crying boy had to be comforted. I'm not sure whether the noise scared him or he was afraid he would get into trouble, but all is better now.

I have load one in the dryer, load two waiting for the dryer and load three in the washer. Its going to be a fun day!!! Pray for my sanity to remain and that they all get folded and put away before the husband arrives home. I will get EXTRA brownie points if that happens.
