Maybe its a TOOMAH...

I think something is wrong with me. SERIOUSLY WRONG. I'm feeling lovey-dovey. Yes you heard me right. I want to hug people and talk to people. I actually wrote that I loved my husband on Facebook. How pathetic is that? I do love him despite his addiction to video games and horror flicks - both of which I could totally do without. Oh and his propensity to burp at the dinner table - sometime even burp a sentence. Yes, he communicates through burps, well sometimes.

I am sarcastic and strange. Creatively obnoxious and well just plain different. I AM NOT LOVEY-DOVEY. Although I am a hopeless romantic. Didn't see that coming did you?

Except for this break so far today, I am cleaning - I think I even hear birds chirping. You'd think I was in a disney movie, except there is no way I would look as good as Amy Adams in curtains or get birds, squirrels and cockroaches to help me clean. Wouldn't that be nice? I might even go grocery shopping on a Saturday. Just because.

Okay, maybe not.

I have volunteered to make school packets next week. Am thinking about cleaning out a closet oh, and I'm going to paint my bedroom. What the heck is wrong with me? SOMEONE BRING BACK DIJEA.

No, I won't come to your house.

I'm nuts,  crazy, a little insane even.  I have cleaned my whole house today.  THE WHOLE HOUSE.  I cleaned the kitchen - including sweeping and mopping the floors.  Both bathrooms (yes I even wiped the underside of the toilet lid).  I swept every inch of the hardwoods.  I vacuumed the rugs (and the baseboards).   All beds are made, all dishes are clean except the ones in the dishwasher  (its not full) and the glass I am currently drinking out of.  All laundry is washed, folded and put away, except the load currently in the dryer.  Oh, I even dusted the ceiling fans.

Note to Husband:

MAYBE AS A REWARD, I NEED A NIKON D300.  Right?  Come on honey, I know you want to get it for me.  Don't cha?  (Mason, I am smiling really big right now, that cannot be relayed in my writing.)

I know this might ruin it, but I haven't cleaned of the desk.  LOVE YA!

My husband knows how to keep it fresh.

Sometimes life just surprises you.  I've been married to my husband for 12 years.  TWELVE. I know not only does that make me old, it puts me past the national average for years married & basically means I am totally boring.  But over the past few weeks my husband has surprised me.

Seriously.

He has always been Mr. FUN.  Never a serious word.  He's either immaturely giddy, or pissed off.  Since he has graduated from college, he actually has done some mature things.  Not a lot, but a few and I'm floored.  He has handled some iffy situations with grace & humility.  He has managed to keep his cool in a sticky situation, and he has even spent time communicating with me like the actual husband I've always dreamed about.

Is he sick?  Or did he finally grow up?  I'm not sure, but I'm definitely not complaining.

I am Dijea, and I am an addict.

Addicted to Lego Star Wars the Complete Saga that is.  I was completely obsessed with the whole Lego Star Wars II on XBOX 360, we then got the Original Trilogy on Playstation.  It sucked.  So when Christmas came around my children, bless them, got me The Complete Saga on XBOX 360. I love it!!  I am 10% complete right now.  Just started today, I have 12 out of 160 gold bricks & I have found two red bricks inside the levels.  I have yet to play Challenge Mode or get a blue minikit, but I know its just a matter of time.  I just spent 3 1/2 hours playing this evening.

I am almost worse than my husband.  NO, I could never be worse than him with video game obsessions.  Its just not possible.

Aren't we cute?

Yes, this is me and the old man. Aren't we cute? Can you tell from my writing I've had a little wine? I had my Office Christmas party tonight and it was wonderful. Everyone told my husband how wonderful I am and have I started selling RE yet? We had a fabulous dinner, I had probably one too many cocktails. I was in the dress and my 4 inch heels and got either you look fabulous or your boobs are hanging out - it all depended on the age of the person talking to me.

I'm off to bed. If anyone from my office reads this - you looked fabulous!

Mason is my hero.

Mason is done! Finished! He has graduated from school and now we have the actually pinning ceremony this afternoon. He starts his "real job" on Monday. Can there be any greater accomplishment? Its been hard, we've missed a lot of time together, between his school work, clinical rotations at night and them me working weekends. There was I think 3 months we only saw each other Sat/Sun/Mon from about 6 pm on. Yuck.

So we'll go to a normal schedule, I will stop working weekends as soon as I can get my replacements trained. Mason and I haven't been home together on weekends for over 7 years. What happens when the weekly trip to Target or the grocery store ends in divorce? We haven't done it in a long time, what if we don't know how? Maybe I should still go by myself. Maybe it will mean 4 years of therapy. Coffee's ready, got to wake up.
