Don't freak out when I write this but, I need the Lord to work through other people. Yes, I don't often talk about God, or my spirituality - but I do have it - its just mine. So i-friends get to work and send me a quote that will uplift my spirit, my mind and my attitude. Because we all know he works in mysterious ways. It doesn't have to be a Bible quote, just something that means something to you and it might give me what I need. Someone out there has it, just pass it along and I will be thankful.

This is one of my favorites and I have it written down on a post-it note in my day planner thingie:
You cannot change the world but you can change what you do for the world
It is simple but I really like it and it helps keep me from being overwhelmed. I have no idea where I saw it or who wrote it. :)
I Know JUST what you need!! *Don't squat with your spurs on.* It makes everything so much better each and every time!!
How about Jerimiah 29:11 *For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord. They ARE plans for good and not for evil. To give you a future and a HOPE.* I do not usually throw around bible verses because I think people tend to do that like it will just make things so much better. But this one is a promise that I cling to a lot.
Let me think on it some and I will come back.
Be Still. Psalm 46:10
Being still is something I don't do very well. However I am learning how becuase God has chosen not to tell me what I'm supposed to do for the rest of my life even though I've been asking him for awhile. I don't think being still is merely a matter of business vs. laziness but rather a restful, peaceful state of my soul. Take some time to calm your soul and know that He is God. By the way I am only publishing anonymous because I have never replied to a blog and don't know how! --Tami
Tami,
I *love* your comment and that is something I do not do well either - be still. This comment comes to me at a good time too. Thank you for sharing it with ALL of us!!!
YES! Thank you guys for quick responses. It means a lot.
But those who haven't left me one can still comment.
Matthew 6:25-34 - "So I tell you, don't worry about everyday life – whether you have enough food, drink, and clothes. Doesn't life consist of more than food and clothing? Look at the birds. They don't need to plant or harvest or put food in barns because your heavenly Father feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than they are. Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? Of course not. And why worry about your clothes? Look at the lilies and how they grow. They don't work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and gone tomorrow, won't he more surely care for you? You have so little faith! So don't worry about having enough food or drink or clothing. Why be like the pagans who are so deeply concerned about these things? Your heavenly Father already knows all your needs, and he will give you all you need from day to day if you live for him and make the Kingdom of God your primary concern. So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today."
Dijea, this is always an encouragement to me. Sorry it's so long! :)
I have been doing more of the "being still" thing... And I had hope for nothing more than perhaps more productive, restful sleep, but I have seen and/or "heard" some things I know I would have overlooked otherwise. So, I second the suggestion of being still. :-)
