Give me a book and I'm happy. HAPPY! My mother told me once if I was reading she wouldn't ask me to do stuff around the house. I avoided chores for years. I read almost every genre there is although I have to say I usually stay away from biographies. I'd rather watch TLC or The History Channel or BIOGRAPHY.

Some of the best books I've ever read in no particular order:

  • Praying for Sleep, Jeffrey Deaver
  • A Maiden's Grave, Jeffrey Deaver
  • All the Stephanie Plum Novels, Janet Evanovich
  • The Lovely Bones, Alice Sebold
  • The Brothers Karamozov, Fyodor Dostovesky

Authors I rarely pass up

I probably will hit myself on the head and realize I left out 3 of my favorite authors. I could read all day, every day and well do. I read everyday, I try to write everyday.

I read blogs everyday, see them on the left. Check them out. The best writer out of all of them, Krista.

I hate that with all the new books being written every year Hollywood has to remake the same movies over and over and over. Can we get some new material!

Friday Catch Up.

What a week this has been!  I haven't really accomplished much other than about 150 loads of laundry, 3 totally trashy romance novels - a 90% complete house cleaning.  Ok, the house cleaning was a lot, I didn't do the blinds, but all rooms cleaned, vacuumed or mopped.  I was tired after that.

I also now have 160/160 gold bricks in Lego Star Wars, TCS.  I also have gotten True Jedi on all levels, all power bricks & all minikits.  I just have to complete the challenge mode on all levels.  Not bad.  I'm about almost done - 89%.  My husband hasn't broken 50% yet.  I RULE!

I found a nasty opossum in my back yard last night bigger than a small dog - not toy, small like bigger than a shitzu.  Yes, seriously.  When my cat went to attack it, I screamed NO - I think it might have been in slow motion like in a movie.  My husband told me not to do that and that the neighbors would probably think I was nuts.  1st - the neighbors already think I'm nuts & 2nd  you Mr. Husband would have done the same thing if it was a child going after your video game consoles with a screwdriver.   Feel free to comment on this.

Well, I'm going to have to get those Challenge levels done before Mr. Husband comes home from the Mavericks game.

Where is my bookmark?

I love to read.  LOVE IT.  Really, I'm totally obsessed with the written word.  I have decided to make a list of the books I've read this year - mind you I will leave off the totally trashy romance, that I will never admit I read, but everything else you will find on a list on my blog.

I love all genres, I love romance, historical romance, thriller, mysteries, anything that gets into a killer's brain.

Some of my favorite authors are:  Janet Evanovich, Jeffrey Deaver, Michael Connoly, Lee Child, Clive Cussler, Minette Walters, Mary Willis Walker, William Diehl & Rick Riordan.

I finished Lean Mean Thirteen

Well, as I predicted I finished Janet Evanovich's latest Stephanie Plum saga. I had my first belly laugh on page 34 and it just didn't stop. I finally turned the light off at 12:45 a.m. and finished up this morning. I truly enjoyed it. She destroyed at least two cars, got lost in a cemetery, was caught in two buildings as bombs went off, had a squirrel bomb blow up in her car, and set off a beaver bomb in the "other woman's" dining room and beat up her ex-husband twice. I truly enjoyed it. I truly enjoyed when Mrs. P (Stephanie's Mom) beat up Grandma's boyfriends toupee on the dinner table. It was what you would call Literature, but heck you don't always have to be enlightened do you?
