Eye Candy

There are few men in Hollywood I find truly attractive, most of my celebrity crushes occur because I find out something these people do in their everyday life and it intrigues me, and not on screen or not on their looks.

These men intrigue me and well, to put it mildly - THEY ARE HOT!

Who is your celebrity crush?  FYI, my husband's are Halle Berry & Heather Graham

I actually did it.

My mother and sister would be so proud of me today.  I made a phone call - see they are completely incapable of calling people and asking for help, advice, whatever.  Its not exactly an easy thing for me either but I did it.

"Hello, Mr. Dude, my friend gave me your name and thought you might be able to help with my stuff.... etc. etc. "

I did it, I actually got a call back, and he's actually going to help me do my stuff.  Don't you love it when a plan comes together.  I didn't even sweat that much, but I did have a little diarrhea of the mouth on the message - I tend to ramble and say UH a lot.  It still worked.

MMMM, give me some more.

Not for about 4 cats have we had a cat so addicted to catnip.  The children and I went to Petsmart to pick up some cat food and we got the cats a new scratching pad.  I rubbed a little catnip on it and Cage-E won't leave it.  He is rolling on it, licking it, rubbing it, scratching it, taking a bath on it.  He won't leave it.  WON'T!  I feel like a pusher.  I have now given my kitty catnip  and he's probably going to be looking to me for his next fix.

See- I told you something would happen.

See what happens, you say you are out of material and you pour a glass of wine to go watch Eli Stone and then what happens?  You have to climb the tree in your front yard in flip flops to get your 3 month old kitten down because the older cat chased him up the tree and now he is too high & scared and get back down by himself.

I got nothing.

I have absolutely nothing to say.  I've been sitting here for a week, with nothing.  If I was in my car, I could write a novel, but sit here at the computer.  What happens?

NOTHING!  That's right - not a thought, zip.  NADA.  Big Zilch.

Sorry.  But of course, now that I've published my failures a bunch of stuff will probably come to mind.

Really Good Horoscope

  1. This is my horoscope for today.  Is that FABulous or what?  Anyone else a Virgo?

You had a great day yesterday, and you'll have a great day again, today! You are in the midst of a wonderfully happy phase, when even the grouchiest of people will cause you to giggle and smile. There's just no telling where all of this good energy has come from, but why question it? Embrace the good vibes. Have fun with them -- and have fun with that certain new someone in your life who is always so very good at making your already bright smile even brighter.

I need a do over!

Have you ever said anything and even though it was well received thought - OH Crap!  Did I just say that?  Mind you we all laughed until we cried.  My mascara ran!

Anyway, I had a night out with the girls - the 1st grade Mother's Night Out group.  Had an absolute ball.  Can't wait for next month.

DAMN

Went back to the Arboretum today.   Took a ton of more pictures, am thinking about starting a photo blog after taking this one.  What do you think?

Movie Review

Just watched No Country for Old Men.  It was fabulous.  I love the Coen brothers.  Love them.  They have never done anything bad.  Well, at least not yet.

Watch it.

Day at the Arboretum

Took 153 pictures at the Dallas Arboretum today.  Here are a few of my favorites.

Rock On, but in your own home.

For all you Guitar Hero people out there.   Dump it now.  There is a new game in town - ROCK BAND.  It is so the only way to go.  You get your choice of instruments, you can sing and the singers get to do cowbell - Don't fear the Reaper - or even tambourine.

Krista, I just downloaded Paramore's Crushcrushcrush for Rock band.  I did awesome as singer, better than expected actually.

Its a must fan for music fans and gamers alike.  5 stars!

Ode to Marty Turco

Marty Turco so big and mean.
You are good for the black & green

You rocked the house, you shut them out
Colorado can just scream and shout

They sucked! You Rocked!
Because all their shots were blocked!

I am a big giant Nerd

So I  just spent the last 5 minutes in my really plush (usually very hot) Gap Body red robe in the snow with Cage-E.  Yes, the baby kitty got its first snow.  I know you all think I'm some giant doofus, but snow in Texas is a novelty.  Its kind of like all you Yankees never jumping into a warm swimming pool.  It just doesn't happen.  I have never jumped in a swimming pool north of the Mason-Dixon line and not gotten a nose bleed - even in August - yes a nose bleed.

I want to go wake up the kids - my husband won't let me, but I turn about 5 years old every time I see snow.  Its beautiful big fluffy flakes.  And I want to make snow angels. I want to build a snow man, and I just want to go play in it.  Its barely covering the grass, but I'm ready to pull out all the winter clothing and go play.

OK, I am a dork!  But it is SNOW in Texas in March.

How to know you live in Texas.

Sunday - Warm 74 degrees.  In shorts

Monday - Snowing - Freezing cold.  Sleeping in socks.

I never should have gotten out of bed this morning.

Today was one of those days where everything goes wrong.  Last night was the first night we let the little kitten out all night instead of locking him in the bathroom.  He somehow found a paperbag that some of Hunter's art work had been brought home from school in.  It was 6 am on a Sunday where no one had to get up.  Hunter was up at a quarter after 7.  Wanted breakfast - I had thought ahead & told Mason to leave a box of Pop Tarts on the table for the boys.  Well, Hunter couldn't open the package.  There was that great idea out the window.

I went to work and every stupid thing that could go wrong did.  The e-mail server was down.  The website was acting up.  The copy machine jammed everytime you put something on it or sent something to it.  I think I filled up the recycle bin with what jammed in the copy machine.  The color was off of the graphics.  It just didn't go like I expected it.  Then I was about 3 blocks from home and the sky opened up.  Oh and its suppose to hail during drop off for school tomorrow & then its suppose to snow by the end of the day.  This is TEXAS - its 70 degrees here now and its suppose to snow tomorrow?

Should I just give up now?
